It seems like a long time since I had a new release, but I finally do. It’s called The Client and His Cousins. It will be out on May 21, 2024. I’ll put up the links to pre-order at the end of this post as I get them. When Cassie Pengear receives a note from a Mr. Grant saying her services had been recommended to him, she assumes he’s interested in her typing services, but she quickly learns it’s her skills at detecting he wishes to discuss. The first book in my new series will be coming out later this month. Kate and Ada are getting their own spin-off series. Cassie isn’t going anywhere, but Kate and Ada stumbled over a body, so they’re getting the next book. Deliveries and a Dead Body will be out on September 20. It’s slowly going up for pre-order now at a special pre-order sale price of $.99. On Sept 24 it will go up to $4.99. I’ll start adding links as I get them, until then, here’s the summary of the book.
Ada Shepherd and her wife Kate Ferris were having a perfectly normal day making deliveries for their Mayfair tinkering and haberdashery shop until they reached the Mertons’ house. There, they found an empty house, an unlocked door, and a dead body in the middle of the entryway. To make the day even stranger, by the time Ada returned from looking for assistance with a policeman in tow, the body had disappeared and the house was filled with quite the normal number of people, all while Kate had been waiting on the front step. With no body, the police won’t investigate, leaving Kate and Ada with no choice but to take matters into their own hands if they want to find out what really happened.
Kate Ferris and Ada Shepherd are partners in life and in their business, a tinkering and haberdashery shop in Mayfair, London. I know I’ve been quiet for a while, but finally, some exciting news. There will be a new Cassie Pengear book coming out on November 23, 2021. And some other exciting news, you may have noticed the cover for Killing at the Carnival on the side here has changed. Since this is book 11, it seemed like a good time to update all my covers. The new ebook covers should all be up by the end of the week, the print ones will take a little longer, as print always does. It’s a little more than a tweek but not a huge change. Well, that took long enough, but I have finally finished Cassie Pengear Book 10, Three Bodies in London. It’s three novellas covering Cassie’s first three cases in London. I didn’t do a pre-order this time, so it’s slowly rolling out to the different stores. I have the links to the ones it’s already out at below. I’ll add more as I get them. And since it does take a little while for some of the stores to get the book in their system (and it did take a long time for me to finish it), the new release sale will last until the end of the year. Yes, there is finally a Cassie Pengear book 9. It’s called Murder Near Slaughter and takes place in a village in the Cotswolds . It’s available for pre-order now and it will be released September 17, 2019. Since I’m planning on doing a sale on some of the older books later this fall and that probably won’t matter much to people following this blog, I decided that, instead of the usual $2.99 pre-order/release week sale price, I’m putting it on sale for $.99 until September 21, then it will go up to $4.99. Cassie Pengear was expecting a relaxing holiday in a Cotswolds village near Lower Slaughter, staying in a cottage borrowed from a friend of her landlady. She was not expecting to spend most of her first day there trying to find someone to give them the key to the cottage. And she definitely wasn’t expecting to walk in the front door and find a body on the sitting room rug. Now the local police consider her and Mrs. Albright suspects, and the London man she was counting on turns out to be Inspector Wainwright.
