I forgot to update here that I’ve extend the $.99 sale on Deliveries and a Dead Body until this Saturday, Oct. 8. I extended it because I was able to line up some advertising for it, so if you haven’t picked it up yet, or know someone who might like it, it’s on sale a little longer.
A New Series
The first book in my new series will be coming out later this month. Kate and Ada are getting their own spin-off series. Cassie isn’t going anywhere, but Kate and Ada stumbled over a body, so they’re getting the next book. Deliveries and a Dead Body will be out on September 20. It’s slowly going up for pre-order now at a special pre-order sale price of $.99. On Sept 24 it will go up to $4.99. I’ll start adding links as I get them, until then, here’s the summary of the book.
Ada Shepherd and her wife Kate Ferris were having a perfectly normal day making deliveries for their Mayfair tinkering and haberdashery shop until they reached the Mertons’ house. There, they found an empty house, an unlocked door, and a dead body in the middle of the entryway. To make the day even stranger, by the time Ada returned from looking for assistance with a policeman in tow, the body had disappeared and the house was filled with quite the normal number of people, all while Kate had been waiting on the front step. With no body, the police won’t investigate, leaving Kate and Ada with no choice but to take matters into their own hands if they want to find out what really happened.
Kate Ferris and Ada Shepherd are partners in life and in their business, a tinkering and haberdashery shop in Mayfair, London. Somehow this leads to them stumbling over bodies and other strange happenings. Join them as they solve mysteries in a steampunk version of Victorian London in this charming spin-off of L. A. Nisula’s Cassie Pengear Mysteries.

Blackmail in the Ballroom and New Covers
I know I’ve been quiet for a while, but finally, some exciting news. There will be a new Cassie Pengear book coming out on November 23, 2021. I’m getting the pre-orders set up and I will post links as I get them. The book is called Blackmail in the Ballroom. Cassie gets drawn into a murder investigation when a blackmail payment is interrupted by a corpse. There’s a longer summary below. I’ll start posting buy links when I have them. The books will have a pre-order/new release price of $.99 then go to $4.99
And some other exciting news, you may have noticed the cover for Killing at the Carnival on the side here has changed. Since this is book 11, it seemed like a good time to update all my covers. The new ebook covers should all be up by the end of the week, the print ones will take a little longer, as print always does. It’s a little more than a tweek but not a huge change. You can see them all on the Books page I hope you like them!
When Cassie Pengear’s cousin Milly asks her to help a friend leave a blackmail payment at a party, Cassie’s first impulse is to say no. That is until she realizes Milly will help no matter what she says, and when, not if, Milly gets in trouble, it will be up to her to get Milly out of it. But the payment doesn’t quite go as planned, being interrupted by a dead body. And as Milly was involved in the payment, Cassie finds herself dragged into investigating the murder and the blackmail in the ballroom.

Cassie Pengear Book 10 – Three Bodies in London
Well, that took long enough, but I have finally finished Cassie Pengear Book 10, Three Bodies in London. It’s three novellas covering Cassie’s first three cases in London. I didn’t do a pre-order this time, so it’s slowly rolling out to the different stores. I have the links to the ones it’s already out at below. I’ll add more as I get them. And since it does take a little while for some of the stores to get the book in their system (and it did take a long time for me to finish it), the new release sale will last until the end of the year. So it will be $.99 until the end of December, then go up to $4.99. I hope you enjoy it!

Upcoming Sale
Hope you’re all doing well. I’m still working on book ten. I just wanted to let you know I’ll be having a $.99 sale on book 4, A Spartan Murder. Officially, it starts on May 8 and lasts to May 26, 2020, but you may see the sale price turn up sooner since I’ll set it before then to make certain it populates through in time. I’m also lowering the price on books 2 and 3 (Death at Dinner and Stabbing Set with Sapphires) to $3.99. So if you haven’t read them yet or know someone who might like them, now might be a good time to get them. The Smashwords sale is still going on to the end of the month too, but I’m going to change which books are in it now that I have this sale going on. Stay well!
