The first book in my new series will be coming out later this month. Kate and Ada are getting their own spin-off series. Cassie isn’t going anywhere, but Kate and Ada stumbled over a body, so they’re getting the next book. Deliveries and a Dead Body will be out on September 20. It’s slowly going up for pre-order now at a special pre-order sale price of $.99. On Sept 24 it will go up to $4.99. I’ll start adding links as I get them, until then, here’s the summary of the book.
Ada Shepherd and her wife Kate Ferris were having a perfectly normal day making deliveries for their Mayfair tinkering and haberdashery shop until they reached the Mertons’ house. There, they found an empty house, an unlocked door, and a dead body in the middle of the entryway. To make the day even stranger, by the time Ada returned from looking for assistance with a policeman in tow, the body had disappeared and the house was filled with quite the normal number of people, all while Kate had been waiting on the front step. With no body, the police won’t investigate, leaving Kate and Ada with no choice but to take matters into their own hands if they want to find out what really happened.
Kate Ferris and Ada Shepherd are partners in life and in their business, a tinkering and haberdashery shop in Mayfair, London. Somehow this leads to them stumbling over bodies and other strange happenings. Join them as they solve mysteries in a steampunk version of Victorian London in this charming spin-off of L. A. Well, that took long enough, but I have finally finished Cassie Pengear Book 10, Three Bodies in London. It’s three novellas covering Cassie’s first three cases in London. I didn’t do a pre-order this time, so it’s slowly rolling out to the different stores. I have the links to the ones it’s already out at below. I’ll add more as I get them. And since it does take a little while for some of the stores to get the book in their system (and it did take a long time for me to finish it), the new release sale will last until the end of the year. So it will be $.99 until the end of December, then go up to $4.99. I hope you enjoy it!
Just a little bit of housekeeping. I’ve gone through all the ebooks in the series and standardized their formatting. Over the years, I’ve formatted a couple of different ways, and now I’ve found one method that I like (a program called Jutoh if you’re curious) so I went through and made everything the same across all the books and took care of a couple of typos that had cropped up while I was at it. I only made one actual change to anything in the stories themselves, the name of a character who turns up in Death at Dinner and briefly in Stabbing Set with Sapphires (books 2 and 3) inadvertently shared a name with a recurring character who first showed up in a later book. I didn’t want there to be any confusion over whether she was the same character (she isn’t) so I changed her name. And then I didn’t want the change to cause any confusion either, so I’m blogging about it. I did this before the recent sale on the bundle, so if you bought it during the sale, the name was already changed. And now, back to work on book 9.
I have the release date for Mugs, Murder, and Mayfair. It will be out on May 1, 2018 in ebook, and the print version to come soon after. As I usually do, I’m having a pre-order/release week sale. The ebook will be $2.99 instead of $4.99 until May 5th. Pre-order links are below. I’ll add more as I get them.
